How did you become involved with Brnoregion Microscopy?

Being responsible for marketing, applications, and sales at Delong Instruments, I have been meeting many people from Brno microscopy for the last few years at conferences and joint events, especially the Days of Electron Microscopy. I became friends with many of them, and we started to cooperate more and help each other. So when Honza Neuman came to us with the idea to make these collaborations more effective, I was definitely in.

What role do you play in the community?

Well, I jokingly call myself „big mouth number two“ (number one is Honza). I work in the Action Groups Community and Marketing/PR and coordinate the 120 Seconds events and the Brnoregion Microscopy projects at EMC 2024. In other words, together with other platform enthusiasts, we bring people together to collaborate, help each other, and show the world that Brnoregion is the microscopy number 1.

What benefits does it bring to you?

As a smaller Czech company, we have limited resources and cooperation with others allows us to get „more bang for the buck“. It also makes more sense to work together to make the cake bigger than to fight against each other for the bigger part of a small one – whether in marketing and sales or HR and procurement.

For me personally, it’s a sheer joy to watch the collaboration in Brnoregion Microscopy flourish and improve our outputs in science and production.

Do you have any message for the community?

Our „fan club“ is open and welcoming anyone with ideas for making Brnoregion Microscopy #1 worldwide. So, if you feel like this, do not hesitate to join us and play 😊

Who's also here

Meet the people behind Brnoregion’s world-class microscopy — the researchers, innovators, and visionaries driving progress, shaping the future of the field, and ensuring that whenever microscopy is discussed globally, the first association is Brnoregion.

Radka Martínková and Jan Neuman introduced me to this platform. Brnoregion Microscopy is really pushing forward concrete actions, rather than (blurry) visions and philosophical questions. And you can see that these actions are actually materializing,…
