How did you become involved with Brnoregion Microscopy?

The microscopy pillar is one of the key technical areas of the Czech Optical Cluster. The unique ecosystem in Brno and the people active within it naturally inspired our involvement in the emerging Brnoregion Microscopy community. Our goal was to align the cluster’s activities with the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS) of the South Moravian Region, where microscopy is truly a unique field.

What activities are you involved in within the community?

I am a member of the Community working group, where I focus on connecting the Czech Optical Cluster, the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society, and Brnoregion Microscopy. The goal of my work is to share information and develop the unique optical and microscopy ecosystem that is firmly rooted in Brno and the Czech Republic.

What benefits does it bring to you?

Our cluster’s motto is Let’s make optics. Together. Collaboration is the key to success and the development of the field. I truly enjoy meeting people in the community who have incredible enthusiasm and a strong commitment to advancing and developing microscopy.

Do you have any message for the community?

I believe great things happen when people unite their talents and ideas. Collaboration is essential for achieving true breakthroughs in microscopy. Being part of this passionate community is both inspiring and strengthens the bonds within our exceptional optical network.

Who's also here

Meet the people behind Brnoregion’s world-class microscopy — the researchers, innovators, and visionaries driving progress, shaping the future of the field, and ensuring that whenever microscopy is discussed globally, the first association is Brnoregion.

Radka Martínková and Jan Neuman introduced me to this platform. Brnoregion Microscopy is really pushing forward concrete actions, rather than (blurry) visions and philosophical questions. And you can see that these actions are actually materializing,…
